PTCL is working on a new project, after that, it will be able to launch broadband internet of 50 Mpbs, said statement issued by the PTCL company.
Pakistan’s PTCL will be using VDSL2 Bonding technology to provide existing (DSL)digital subscriber line, customers with speeds up to 50 Mbps.
VDSL2 bonding takes two lines to copper-based VDSL2 subscriber and aggregates of them – almost doubling the bandwidth available for existing customers, or expanding access to high-speed broadband access to areas that are served today. Using VDSL2 bonding, service providers can extend the life of their existing copper infrastructure
According to a market research company iSuppli IHS, simultaneous access to applications like file sharing peer-to-peer, online gaming, audio streaming, VoIP and IPTV will soon require bandwidth between 50 and 100Mbps. This fits perfectly with the VDSL2 capabilities, especially when combined with innovations such as bond and Vectoring.
