Android products also being outsold by Apple iPhone and Apple iPad

A new report are that the AT&T and Verizon, older versions of Apple's mobile devices are outselling some current Android models. Our April checks indicated continued strong demand for the iPhone 3GS at AT&T and iPad 1 at Verizon, as these older generation products with reduced prices often outsold new Android products. We believe this highlights Apple's significant competitive advantage, and these older products help Apple offer a tiered pricing strategy at key channels."

IT was discovered that at AT&T stores, the $49 Apple iPhone 3GS was outselling the Android powered HTC Inspire 4G and the Motorola ATRIX 4G. The analyst also discovered that Android is taking market share away from Windows Phone 7 handsets, but is not outselling the Apple iPhone. He also notes that while Android as a whole has outsold the iPhone because of the large amount of different phones using Google's open source OS, there has been no other single smartphone that has outsold Apple's device.

Despite reports that the HTC ThunderBolt is also outselling the Apple iPhone 4 at Verizon, reports says that it is the latter that is the top seller for Big Red. He expects that to continue throughout the year as customer's existing 2 year contracts expire, allowing them to purchase Apple's phone with a subsidy.

Google Nexus S 4G releasing maintenance packs:

Not only is the newly available Samsung Replenish getting an unexpected software update, but it also appears that the Google Nexus S 4G is also getting its own maintenance update.

The latest maintenance release for the pure Google device for Sprint carries along only some “enhancements to improve performance.” However, it’s not exactly stated     that what for those enhancements exactly are – but either way, it’s probably an ideal decision to install it. From the sound of it all, the whole download and installation process should take roughly 5 minutes to fully complete, but it’s still a good idea to back things up prior to installation.

Again, if you haven’t received this notification, you can manually initiate this process by simply going into the Android settings menu. Some might question why we’re seeing an update so soon for the device, but it seems that it’s better to release it after launch as opposed to delaying the handset’s release altogether.

Pre Order of HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa inUK, launch on June 26

Facebook optimized HTC phones - the HTC ChaCha and the HTC Salsa - were made official. A few months have passed since then, but the good news is that we have got the release details of these handsets that they will be launched on June 26 in Britain and are already available for pre-order.

HTC ChaCha, which offers (among other things) a Display of 2.6-inch screen, 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, Android version 2.3 plus HTC Sense and, while the HTC Salsa, which packs pretty much the same goodies - except for the screen, which is larger at 3.4-inch and sans the keyboard.

We expecting that, you're must waiting for these phone's.

Samsung Galaxy S II Demand About 3 Million Already All Over the World

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a very hot and is on everyone's mind and for all the right reasons - it is thin, fast, and with innovative display, and a top-notch camera that captures smooth Full HD video.

It  seems that carriers all over the world are agree with that assessment, since word broke out they have preordered about 3 million units of the good stuff already. Samsung says this is one of the highest preorder numbers they've had for shipping to carriers, and that is equally as impressive, considering how many cheap feature phones the company sometimes spits out.

We have to thank the marketing effort behind its predecessor - the Samsung Galaxy S which was launched in 120 countries on 140 carriers as well, trailblazing the path to stardom for the Samsung Galaxy S II. Of course, three million is the number that will be shipped to carriers - how many of those will be bought by end clients remains to be seen, but observing the excitement that the handset generates, we wouldn't doubt Samsung's goal to sell at least 10 million Galaxy S II phones by year-end.

Mock Symbian Home screens PR 3.0 updated:

Nokia (Germany) has a mock Symbian homescreens floating around on its website, slapped on rotating Nokia N8, Nokia E7 and Nokia C7.

Now, resizable widgets are something that is supposedly coming after the Symbian PR 2.0, or Anna update, which should arrive pretty soon for all Symbian^3 phones, but the ones here look different than what we've seen so far.

The free form widgets UI could either be a botched Photoshop attempt, or a harbinger of what's to come in the next big Symbian update that aims to deal with the unwieldy interface once and for all.

For now only the clock's ticking on the simulation screens, and the widgets themselves are just links, but if this is a precursor to fall-bound Symbian PR 3.0, or Belle, do you like what you are seeing so far.

Samsung Win the race against Nokia In Europe:

It looks like that Samsung is on its way with its self-improved target to become the world's largest cell phone manufacturer by 2014.

The first quarter of this year saw it sell 13.2 million phones in Europe, for the first time in history of mobile samsung cell phone's sold more than Nokia's 12.6 million units. This leaves Nokia with strongholds mainly in Asia and Africa, and it is selling a huge amount of phones there, unlikely to be overthrown soon, unless affordable Androids make a dent in its market share in those regions.

Samsung, however, said in its latest earnings release slides that it is seeing a huge potential for growth with precisely low-end Android phones in emerging markets, so Nokia might have a hard time defending this turf as well, while it is transitioning from Symbian in the next few years. Have a look at Europe's numbers for the quarter ending March of this year, courtesy of IDC:

HP Pre 3 reflects on its upcoming launch

Last time we saw the HP Pre 3  was lying on a table with the QWERTY keyboard exposed, with the Verizon branding on the top left of the phone. With a launch expected some what in the first half of the this year, we would expect to hear more about the model, but so for HP has been fairly quiet about the webOS flagship model.

And while we're sure that HP would like to bang the drum for the Pre 3, it will take much more than a picture, like this to interrupt the constant attention that the Apple iPhone and Android handsets have been receiving. We would imagine that once we have a firm launch date for the device, the HP Pre 3 will get the amount of headlines that the webOS community would like to see it receive.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Unboxing:

You have probably seen a lots of great hands-on and unboxing videos of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer minus the keyboard dock. Getting a hold of the whole package has been a challenge, but today we’re very happy to sharing our first impressions of this underdog Honeycomb tab with its Xoom beating price and cool keyboard dock that transforms the tablet into a notebook.

With the 10.1 inch display and a high resolution of 800x1280 pixels, it’s safe to say the Asus Eee Pad transformer, with its Gorilla Glass screen jumps to the front of the queue as far as Honeycomb tab displays go.

Inside this , you’ll also find a high quality 1GHz dual core Tegra 2 processor and  also 1GB of RAM as well as a 16GB internal SSD. With a microSD card slot on the tablet and a standard SD card slot on the dock, this opens you up to a whopping 80GB of potential storage, impressive right? As if that wasn’t enough, there’s a miniHDMI on the unit, a proprietary charging port and on the keyboard dock, 2 USBs and with another battery to keep you going on for upto 16 hours.
