Kate, William On Honeymoon:

Prince William and Kate could have ordered anything and everything (courtesy of a private butler) to eat and drink during their super-luxe honeymoon in the Seychelles -- so why in the world did they order cream cheese and Brussels sprouts in advance of their arrival?!
Royal watcher Katie Nicholl reports in the new Vanity Fair that William, 28, requested that their private villa be stocked with the funny combo; interestingly, brussels sprouts, high in folic acid, are said to aid in fertility.
And Prince William and Princess Catherine (their reported preferred titles, Nicholl writes) watched their wedding after the fact (wearing terrycloth robes!) in between receptions on April 29.
"It was just the two of them, and they were so excited to actually see it on the television," a Palace aide told Nicholl. "Harry joined them afterwards, and they were all in high spirits."
A highlight? When little bridesmaid Grace van Cutsem famously scowled on the palace balcony! "They were laughing when the cameras panned onto little Grace on the balcony, and William was saying, 'Poor Grace, she looks terrified!'"
Nicholl also reveals a touching wedding reception toast from the Princess' dad Michael Middleton. "I knew things were getting serious when I found a helicopter in my garden," he told the revelers. "I thought, Gosh, he must like my daughter. I did wonder then how William was going to top this if they ever got engaged."
Back home in Anglesy, the royal couple are keeping it simple for now. They have turned down Prince Charles' offer of a larger staff, and Kate has delayed appointing her ladies-in-waiting -- but has been invited to join the R.A.F. Wives Club.

Full Photo Session Of The Asus PadFone Leaks OUT

It turns out there is some unorthodox innovation in the Asus PadFone, after all. A smartphone/tablet combo seems like a pretty neat idea already, but to differentiate it from something like the Motorola ATRIX 4G & Laptop Dock, Asus has provided not simply a slot, but a whole compartment where the phone gets tucked in, with a lid closing above it.

It looks like the phone slides in there, and hooks up with the USB and HDMI ports, to become one with a bigger 10" screen, some stereo speakers, and, we'd wager to guess, a way bigger battery for long hours of happy Android-ing.

Not that Android is mentioned explicitly as the operating system, but knowing how Ice Cream Sandwich aims to bring together the Android smartphone and tablet user interfaces, it's rather likely that the Asus PadFone has been conceived with the next version of Android in mind. The phone's 5MP camera seems to be utilized for a picture and video shooter in tablet mode as well, another svelte idea.

WP7 HTC 12-MegaPixel Phone Leak Out

Windows Phone are developing platform, but it hasn’t had a single cameraphone that would truly appeal to the photo enthusiast. This changes now as images of a 12-megapixel cameraphone by HTC leaked out in the hands of notorious, but the similarity with the HTC Trophy or the rumored HTC Mazaa is noticeable. Design-wise, the yet unannounced handset looks very refined, with a sleek body, while on the front a silver line encircles the screen adding to the premium look of the device. A large speaker grill on top contributes to the industrial “HTC” feel of the handset. The only other tiny detail we could notice is a volume rocker on the left side.

You’ve probably heard rumors about the HTC Bresson, which is supposed to up the stakes in the megapixel race to 16 megapixels, but this HTC-branded handset running Windows Phone 7 is as real as it gets. With a 12-megapixel camera on board, it’s easily one of the most enticing photo-centric WP7 solutions. It should offer plenty of camera options, but so far we can only be sure about various exposure settings, which you can see on the images below.

The device is definitely not a Nokia, which leads us into thinking that it might roll out earlier than a Nokia-made handset. While HTC hasn’t exactly flourished when it comes to cameras in the past, it has made significant progress in its latest phones and now it might even catch the attention of photo enthusiasts if it manages to get the handset to shelves earlier than Nokia. What's your suggestion about this handset.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Reconsidering Their View On Their Marriage

London:Brad Pitt and his baby momma Angelina Jolie have repeatedly asserted that they have no plans to marry, but it looks like the couple could be considering a u-turn on the matter.

Brad has previously been quoted on the subject of marriage, saying, “Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able," which is an admirable stand point. But Brad has now told USA Weekend that their kids could be behind a change of heart. Says the dad of six, "The kids ask about marriage. It's meaning more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at.

Opening up about life in the Jolie-Pitt household, Brad explains that if he wants some grown-up time with Ange he’ll tell the kids, "There are no secrets at our house. We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."  Hmmm, we can’t decide if this cute or indeed gross.

The heartthrob also shed some light on the family’s nomadic existence, and how they live as they travel the world, “On the road, we're a military mobile unit. The kids have got their stuff down to one backpack, and they're each responsible for their own bag. Mom does the packing; she's quite gifted at that. Puts in just what we need – nothing extra. We're pretty nomadic. We go where the crops are. Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us.

MocoSpace Survey Men Outspend Then Women 9:1 on virtual goods

Part of new burst of stats released on the company's mobile social gaming service:

Men account for nearly 90% of the virtual items bought on MocoSpace's mobile social games network, the company has announced.

That's despite the fact that the gender split is roughly equal when it comes to actually playing the games. 53% of MocoSpace's mobile social gamers are male, versus 47% female. The men spend an average of 21 minutes a day playing the company's mobile web games, while women spent 19 minutes.

In other words, there are nearly as many women spending nearly as much time as men playing the games, but they're spending a lot less on virtual items. MocoSpace says 69% of male gamers are buying virtual items on its platform versus 31% of females, and that overall, those men account for nearly 90% of its virtual goods sales.

"Our research shows that from a business perspective both genders demonstrate high levels of engagement, which is good for advertisers - but men and male-dominated titles tend to drive bigger revenues for mobile social game developers," says CEO Justin Seigel.

Most Paid Android Apps Downloaded About 100 times:

It has been found that 20 per cent of all free apps and 80 per cent of all paid apps have been downloaded fewer than 100 times on the Google Android Market worldwide to date.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, 96 apps have been downloaded more than 5 million times in the Android Market, with Google Maps achieving  50 million plus.

The report concluded that it is more difficult for apps on Android Market than Apple App Store to monetise using a one-off fee.

It said that only two paid apps have been downloaded more than half a million times in the Google store against six for iPhone.

And in the games space, there were five Android titles over 250,000 worldwide, and ten for iPhone in the US alone in two months.

Some of this comes down to the dynamism of the charts. It seems that the refresh rate of top app charts is significantly higher in the Apple App Store.

In April, for example, 94 different apps figures in the iPhone top ten free or paid), but only 26 on Android.

Here are the percentages of Android apps that have achieved certain download.

Hangover’ takes31 million dollar on first day:

LOS ANGELES: Raunchy comedy sequel “The Hangover Part II” got off to a roaring start at the North American box office taking in about dollar 31.7 million on its opening day, according to estimates by movie studio Warner Bros on Friday.

The strong early start on Thursday put the movie on track to gross about dollar 110-dollar 125 million domestically for its five day run over the US Memorial Day long weekend, Hollywood box-office watchers said: That’s despite lukewarm reviews for the sequel, which reunites actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha in another mayhem-filled bachelor party.

Gaga's Judas track for her ex-boyfriend:

Lady Gaga says: That her controversial single 'Judas' is not a dig on religion, instead she is singing about an ex-boyfriend who betrayed her.

The Grammy winning singer's latest release was heavily criticised by religious groups for the Christian imagery used in its video, but the song is about her own heartbreak, said Gaga. The 25-year-old said the religious overtones hide a deep personal meaning as she is singing about a former lover, reported Contactmusic.

According to reports, the culprit is Luc Carl, whom Gaga has been dating on and off for the past year. Their split was announced just days after the release of 'Judas'. "And then I thought about the biblical implications and how Judas was the betrayer. And once I thought about what I wanted to do with the video, Judas didn't really betray Christ because he was part of the prophecy. We attack the idea by saying my ex betrayed me and this person haunts me, but I forgive them," Gaga added.

Mallika Sherawat turns down Obama:

Mallika Sherawat: At the shoot of a fun song for 'Double Dhamaal', the self-proclaimed Hollywood star was sporting a rather passe look. With a short denim skirt with a pink top, a belt and colourful sandals, Mallika’s dress looked quite busy and screamed for attention but didn’t do justice to the oodles of weight she’s lost.

Meanwhile, she is also creating waves for having turned down an invitation, of all places, to the White House. The reason being that she is to host a sunset cocktail party for her Hollywood release, 'Politics of Love' on Nikki Beach in Cannes. It was something that she had committed to months before.

Mallika, who was present at two earlier events with the US President Barack Obama, first met him during Obama’s Los Angeles visit for a fundraiser held at Sony Studios. The two then caught up at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Stellar Messi hails 'incredible' Barcelona

Wembley : Lionel Messi took the man-of-the-match plaudits yet was quick to hail an "incredible" FC Barcelona display as Josep Guardiola's men claimed a fourth European crown at Wembley.

Google's Map updated to 5.5

Google Maps has been updated to 5.5 and it brings a slew of updates Place pages by adding a button for check-ins and one for rating place. It also improves home or work location tracking in Latitude, and public transit Place pages. These updates come on the heels of the news that Google Maps has passed 200 million mobile users across all platforms. Of course, not all platforms get the same features, and, being Google's baby, Android gets all the best tricks first.
This Maps update is all about making existing features more prominent and easier to find. It adds easy access to a check-in button on the Place page, so you can check-in or check-out of your favorite places.  This feature was released last month, and gives users a dashboard to track how much time they spend at home, at work, or out. This location history is completely private unless you choose to share it.

Google Maps transit information is a wonderful resource available in 440 cities worldwide, and this update makes it easier to find information from a nearby station without having to search for directions.

HTC Trophy Unboxing Video:

HTC Trophy Unboxing Video:

Generally you always expecting from a carrier to offer something which is relatively fresh and unseen before if they are launching a device with a new mobile platform, but instead, Verizon decides to take a 6-month-old model and makes it their very first Windows Phone 7 smartphone. Alas, the platform’s permeation in the US market is now complete now that Verizon is finally in the game with the HTC Trophy, though, it’s a bit later than what some would’ve anticipated.

Package wise, we are presented with a fairly clear-cut retail packaging – with an image of the handset position directly on the box with only the contents mentioned in the rear. Opening it up, we feast our eyes on the handset with its clad in red 1,300 mAh battery next to it, while underneath that are the usual set of accessories that we normally find – these  include the microUSB cable, wall charger, and standard set of documentation.

Samsung SPH-D600 leak out Photo:

We  heard that Samsung SPH-D600 beginning in May, roughly around the time it had passed FCC testing, but up until now we only knew some specs with no real-world photos to prove them. Folks over at Phandroid, however, have gotten hold of first pictorial evidence of the existence of the Sprint-bound handset.

First 4G device, of the Samsung is SPH-D600, which is already good news by itself, and given the relatively low resolution of 320 x 480 of the screen, we’re most probably talking about an affordable handset. A 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED-flash is on the back, while a 1GHz Snapdragon chip powers the whole Android 2.3.3 show. Initial rumors painted the device as a full QWERTY slider, but it seems that something has changed in the last minute as the pictures don’t hint at any kind of physical keyboard.

Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY Unboxing(Verizon)

Our friends across the world are getting their game on with the first ever PlayStation certified smartphone in the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY, but now all US consumers are able to experience  same thing now that it’s available through Verizon Wireless. We’ve already reviewed the beloved gaming conscious smartphone already, but seeing that this isn’t your typical handset, we’re undoubtedly still giddy about doing an unboxing for it.

There’s nothing really out of the ordinary with the handset’s retail packaging since it follows in character to what we’ve been seeing with most Verizon devices of late, though, we’re greeted with an image of the handset upfront with barely any other useful information surrounding its sides.  which consists of the microUSB cable, wall charger, the usual set of documentation, and apparently what appears to be a 3.5mm headset adapter. Some might be confused as to why the latter is packaged along since we find a normal 3.5mm headset jack on the handset itself, but interestingly enough, it’s required when playing games since it doesn’t seem to work properly when you directly plug a pair of headphones to the handset’s 3.5mm port.

First we saw that the HTC ThunderBolt thundering its way to Verizon’s lineup as the first 4G LTE enabled smartphone, then soon after that, we also witnessed the arrival of the first DROID branded device with LTE connectivity in the Samsung Droid Charge. However,  now we’re supposed to be experiencing something revolutionary now that LG is joining the pack with their 4G LTE Android smartphone in the LG Revolution.

Although we are very surprised to see its packaging donning a complete black exterior, with only some Verizon, LTE, and LG brandings etched on some parts, it’s still rather strange to see not a single image of the handset anywhere on the box. Considering that we’re only a day away before this thing goes on sale, we’re fairly confident to say that this is what the actual final retail packaging will look like if you happen to pick one up tomorrow. Inside, there’s absolutely nothing that we haven’t seen before – especially when it packages along the microUSB cable, wall charger, and usual set of documentation. Considering that this is truly yet another revolutionary device, we were hoping to see some additional accessories – like a useful microHDMI cable.

Most of Dual-Core Android phones have power consumption Problem:

Power consumption  of Android phones might be significantly flawed and it is might be issue of software, if we are to believe Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin who summarizes reports about battery consumption issues in a tweet claiming that all dual-core Android phones running on a version prior to 2.3.4 having a problem of battery duration.

The software flaw has reportedly being fixed in the latest version of Gingerbread 2.3.4, but reports about the final outcome are controversial at best. Judging from previous reports it’s only 0.03% of all Android phones that employ 2.3.4, so it’s mostly Nexus S users who got to test the version, but chances are if you have a dual-core phone with Google’s platform – your phone could improve after the update.

Nokia WP7 U8500 dual-core 1.2GHz:

The CEO of ST-Ericsson said that Nokia’s Windows Phone 7 devices will be powered by the U8500 dual-core CPU and its successors will go on to power Windows 8 phones also.

So far, Windows Phone 7 device powered by Qualcomm chipsets (due to Microsoft’s limiting guidelines, which were revised recently). ST-Ericsson’s CEO however says that they will be one of two chip suppliers for Nokia’s WP7 phones (he didn’t who the other was).

The first of the phone's is Nokia device which will use the dual-core U8500 chipset, which has been seen running at 1.2GHz. Things might change by the time these devices come out, but they look to be the first dual-core Windows Phone 7 handsets.

The CEO also said that over the course of 2012 Nokia will release 12 Windows Phone 7 devices that will be based on future versions of the U8500 chipset. He also believes that ST-Ericsson will be a key supplier for Windows Phone 8, yep that's 8.

The Mango update is v7.5, so Windows Phone 8 is already very likely in the works (and the rumor mill suggests that it and Windows 8 will be closely related).

Demonstration of Music Beta by Google:

Time to time, we’ve seen Google move into new ventures where their presence isn’t as widely recognized as other, but it’s not all the time they’re able to make an indelible mark in those new areas. Much like how Google is attempting to intrude into Twitter’s space with their Google Buzz service, we’re now seeing that with the music streaming service with their new Google Music Beta cloud service. Right now though, attendees of Google I/O and some Verizon Motorola XOOM owners have the prestigious opportunity of checking it now, but let’s hope others will have their time down the road.

Users will be required to transfer their songs stored locally on their computers to Google – and this is accomplished by download and using the Google Music Manager software. Basically, it’ll scour your hard drive to fish out all your music, and once it’s able to tally them all with your approval, it’ll commence uploading them to the clouds. Naturally, it’s probably recommended for you to have a fast internet connection because the whole process can definitely be time consuming to say the least – especially if own a ton of songs. Thankfully though, you don’t have to upload all your songs at one-shot since you can continue from the same spot you left off previously.

Google Music App for Android:
If you happen to own an Android powered smartphone, you can download the new Google Music app from the Android Market, which complements the default music player on your device – and in our case, we used the Samsung Infuse 4G. Launching the app for the very first time, we’re asked if we’d like to try out the new streaming feature associated with our account, and rightfully so, we accepted it unconditionally. In terms of presentation, there isn’t anything out of the ordinary with the app, mainly because it looks and feels like the stock Android music player we’re normally used to seeing. Aggregating songs stored locally on the handset, it’ll even display those that have been uploaded to our account.

Samsung Gravity Touch 2 GT2 :

Verizon's LTE is OUT again:

Whether you're using  the HTC ThunderBolt or using Samsung DROID Charge, you might be stuck while using Verizon's 3G network for the time being. Report  about Verizon's LTE network have been received from Washington D.C. to as west as Phoenix, Arizona. So if you have been trying every trick in the book to get back that 4G speed that you have become accustomed to, you might as well sit back and wait for the problem to be resolved. After all, the last time Big Red's LTE service went out, it was back up and running fairly quickly.

If we find one of the good thing to say about Verizon's 4G outage, at least it doesn't affect all of those new Motorola DROID X2 owners who bought the phone when it
launched yesterday. If you you are facing problems with your 4G service with Verizon, let us know by dropping some words in the comment box below.

Carriers changing tablet pricing plan:

There is no doubt about market value of tablets, that they are quickly becoming a real force . But the tablet plans might need to change if carriers are to remain a part of the equation. Tablets with cellular connections made up 60% of all tablets in 2010, but analysts expect that to drop to 30% by 2015, as customers opt for Wi-Fi-only models.

So why it is important Well, if customers decide to forgo cellular connections, then carriers will be left behind. Orange reports that they will be considering data plans shared between your smartphone and tablet. That will be an effective way to comfort consumers unsure of how much they will really utilize a cellular connection on their tablet.

CFO Verizon Wireless, says they are considering a similar shared plan: "I think it's safe to assume that at some point you are going to have mega-plans (for data) and people are going to share that mega-plan based on the number of devices within their family." But Shammo admitted they don't have a timeline in mind.

And analysts say that the carriers of the iPad's rivals will particularly suffer. Consumers are already wary enough of straying from the all-powerful iPad, so unsubsidized pricing and unrealistically expensive plans and contracts will only deter them further.

Google Maps updated for mobile browser's:

After a short research, Google discovered that 40% of user's, those using Google Maps would access the service from a mobile device. Previously, those using a mobile browser would be re-directed to a link to the Google Maps mobile app so that you could download the software on your handset and use it that way.

But now you must like to have all of the features of the Google Maps on your mobile browser, Now, if you go to maps.Google.com from your mobile browser, you can see your current location and search for other places nearby to you with suggestions. Click able icons of popular businesses and transit stations will appear on your screen and you can get directions to a location depending on the mode of transportation you are taking (car, walking, bicycling, etc.). You can also view Place pages with ratings, photos and more. Your starred locations can be accessed along with 'My Maps'. All you have to do is opt-in to share your location. Google Maps for your mobile browser is also " platform independent" so you always get the same experience and most up-to- date features no matter which phone you are using.

The dedicated mobile app for Google Maps is still available and will probably still be used by the majority of cell phone users. But if you want to have the desktop version on your phone instead, you now have the choice to use it.

Xperia Play and arc getting updated to Android 2.3.3

Software updates have is a hot topic for carriers and manufacturers, but the Sony Ericsson is not taking any risks about getting updated and is starting to roll out updates to Android 2.3.3 for its gaming-centred Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY and design-conscious Xperia arc. The updates are to first launch in the UK next week, but we expect to see other markets getting them not long after.

Also in tow for a deeper Facebook integration, or “Facebook inside in Xperia” in SE’s terms, a feature announced with the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Mini Pro. This will bring the possibility to link music playing on your handset directly to your Facebook feed. Finally, Facebook contacts information will also get intertwined with your phone contacts and you’ll be able to keep track of all their recent status updates, interests and so on.

Android 2.3.3 does not bring any revolutionary features, but rather mildly improves on the Gingerbread experience and fixes some security holes. The new features are also expected to land later on the rest of SE’s lineup including the Xperia neo, Mini and Mini Pro.

HTC EVO 3D Releasing on June 4th:

The HTC EVO 3D releasing date is still secret well, but the long awaited successor to the original HTC EVO 4G. Obviously, the Sprint-bound device is hot not only for the customer, but for your retail sales folk as well. Employees are urged to “talk it up with every customer” as “this can make or break a quarter.”

The June 4th launch date, which falls on Day Saturday, is “rough,” so it could be pushed a couple of days, but when a pre-order is made, it “guarantees” a phone to the customer. Unfortunately, there’s still no word on pricing on this 3D heavyweight, but the Shack expects to offer the best deal out there. A smart team is to also call back “every wireless contact,” so you could expect a surprise phone call detailing you the wonders of the handset.

But even now we can tell you all about the HTC EVO 3D, which was launched back at CTIA 2011: a 4.3” display with qHD resolution and a parallax barrier for the 3D effect are part of the show, but a dual-core 1.2GHz 3rd-gen Snapdragon chip and a dual 5 megapixel camera setup also contribute to the appealing package. Are you planning on getting the EVO 3D? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
